Feisty Folk presents Colin, a singer / songwriter with original folk music who plays live music in and around Newport News, Richmond, and Hampton Roads area.
With a little bit of soul, and a little bit of blues, a little bit of jazz and a little bit of
folk, Colin Hogan has inspired live audiences throughout the Peninsula and Hampton Roads for years. Together with
the funky bass lines of Brian Link, Colin's original lyrics and compositions combines many musical
influences, including classical piano, to create a totally unique sound that captivates any audiences.
Colin is currently promoting her first full length album entitled "Sessions Down the Shore", released under her own independent label, Feisty Folk. This album, along with a 5-song demo named "The Franklin EP", can be purchased at any of Colin's shows, or online. We have been doing some traveling following the holidays of 2005. We
performed for a crowd of 17,000 on the eve of the New Year in Joliet,
Illinois on board the Empress Casino Boat. This coming weekend the Brian
and I will appear in Richmond, VA for two nights of original music. Opening
for the Celtic band Patched Hats, you can catch us Friday at Café
Gutenberg and Saturday at Rosie Connoly Pub. Following our VA performances
we will make the trek north to Buffalo, New York for a mini tour including
3 shows scheduled in the snowy city. As we continue to tour, the new album
"Sessions Down the Shore" is soon to be released. With plans
for a west coast sweep and a trip over seas later this year, keep your
ears open for some Feisty Folk Music.
